Last 3 labs I have done had my hsCRP pretty high from the normal range. Lowest was 3 and highest around 7.

Any idea what could this be about? Lifestyle is pretty normal - 5-8k daily steps, sunlight twice a day, relatively clean diet. No family history of heart issues. I also went to a Cardiologist and EKG/ECG came back normal.

I'm on Test 150mg/week and HCG 500iu 3x/week. Also take GHk and BPC as needed.

Not really sure where to start and if this is a valid concern considering other markers were in range.

Lactate and Androgens:

If fasting lactate is high and I still want to prioritize androgens. Would it be best to first control fasting lactate (<1.0 mmol/L) with Zone 2, low-volume strength + long rest before pouring on the HIIT and sprinting?

Yes. If fasting lactate is elevated, it signals mitochondrial redox backlog and poor lactate clearance, which can blunt androgenic signaling via higher cortisol/AMPK tone. Clearing that first with Zone 2, low-volume strength, long rests, and restoring lactate <1.0 mmol/L will give you a cleaner hormonal response when you layer in HIIT/sprints. Otherwise, you’re stacking high-intensity stress on top of incomplete recovery, which skews the hormonal environment toward catabolic.

Hey BTUM, my dad (~60) is getting shoulder surgery next month (partial supraspinatus tear, mild infraspinatus & bicep tendinopathy, full anterior superior labrum tear). He's not the healthiest (got him on a weight loss plan - adherence could be better), but I do think this is motivating him to improve his general health.

AI pretty much gives the standard "listen to doctor & do PT" spiel w/ some slight confirmation about "BPC could help...". Already got him 20 mg of BPC for after surgery.

What else would you put in a recovery protocol for a guy in my dad's situation (NMA of course)? Compounds and/or habits.

For post-shoulder surgery in his context, we'd stack joint/tendon healing inputs alongside BPC. GHK-CU & TB-500 for systemic soft tissue recovery, collagen + vitamin C twice daily for tendon matrix synthesis, and anti-inflammatory nutrition (omega-3s, curcumin, high-polyphenol foods). Keep protein high and avoid calorie restriction during healing. Start early passive ROM and gentle isometrics per PT to prevent frozen shoulder. Sleep in a reclined position to avoid stress on repair. Limit NSAID use after the acute phase to not blunt collagen formation. Photobiomodulation (red/NIR light) to the surgical area and plenty of sun and grounding to accelerate tissue repair and rduce pain.

Yo UM it’s been a long time, I am 23yrs old diagnosed w T1D over the past month after a very chaotic time in my life, I was in DKA from the end of April to early July, going from 220 to 172lbs. I went to emerge to finally get tested and then I was put in the icu on an insulin IV for one week. Now living as a type 1 I need to inject insulin daily for the rest of the foreseeable until they create a non immunosuppressive cure. Besides the preached circadian biology practices, eating well and training hard, what are some non negotiable practices and tools do you think I should utilize as a T1D?

For T1D, the non-negotiables beyond circadian discipline, diet, and training are tight glycemic control and minimizing variability which means you have to be ultra serious about artificial light, nnEMF, and sunlight. Use a CGM and adjust insulin proactively, not reactively. Track carb sources meticulously (favor low-GI, high-fiber, nutrient-dense foods.) Keep fast-acting glucose on hand for lows and ketone strips for illness or high readings. Strength train consistently to improve insulin sensitivity and muscle glucose uptake. Support mitochondrial and endothelial health with DIETARY omega-3s, magnesium, and antioxidants to blunt long-term complication risk. And treat DAILY high quality sleep as your medicine. nighttime glucose swings from cortisol are one of the fastest ways to accelerate damage in T1D. You should check out epitalon and pancreas bioregulator, perhaps berberine, and maybe tirz micro?

I got bloodwork done for the first time. Total Test was higher than expected at 953 but Free T was low at 8.9 SHGB was high at 65.4. Felt super low energy recently so was expecting lower total T but now wondering how to go about lowering SHGB and upping Free T naturally before considering alternative methods. Have good circadian rhythm, diet, training, and general lifestyle pretty dialed. What would you recommend?

High SHBG at 65.4 with good total T means your free T is being locked up (often from low insulin/energy availability, excess caloric deficit, overtraining, high fiber/phytoestrogens, or thyroid status on the high side). To lower SHBG naturally, slightly raise carb intake (especially post-training), ensure adequate calories, recheck ferritin and thyroid labs, and add boron (6–10 mg/day), vitamin D, and possibly nettle root. If you’ve been in a long cut or running lots of Zone 2/fasted cardio, pull back and give the liver a reason to downregulate SHBG production. This usually frees up more bioavailable T without touching total output.

Curious on what direction you’d go in my situation - I’m 21, studying maths/statistics, got the top mark at my UK uni, going to one of the best US unis for a year exchange soon, aiming for top masters and phd and a quant career etc. Ie really focused on career and pushing my skill in a field that heavily relies on mental performance. Enhancement wise, should I be considering trt/full test for maximising that route do you think? Or maybe just aiming for a certain level naturally whilst being more focused on nootropics? I’m pretty dialled in on everything you mention on x and here, and I use a basic stack in terms of mental performance stuff atm (caffeine, 3x Sabroxy, Polygala etc). Just curious on what routes make sense if I want to really start pushing it. Cheers 🤝

I've been experiencing hand tremors for quite some time—around 13 to 14 years now (I'm currently 23). The tremors typically occur when my heart rate increases significantly, such as during a workout, and they can persist until my heart rate returns to normal. I also notice them during intense nervousness or when trying to perform precise tasks while holding light objects. What steps can I take to eliminate these hand tremors once and for all?

Sounds like enhanced physiologic tremor. Adrenergically driven and amplified under high heart rate or sympathetic tone. First step is ruling out secondary causes: check thyroid, B12, magnesium, glucose, and rule out medication or stimulant contribution. Then work on autonomic balance: magnesium chloride and acetyltaurate daily, taurine, and slow nasal breathing to blunt sympathetic spikes. Lets say that again. You are breathing excessively out of your mouth. You need to completely retrain the way you breathe to restore parasympathetic tone.

Beta-blockers like propranolol are the gold standard if lifestyle isn’t adhusted, but training parasympathetic dominance, improving grip/forearm endurance, and reducing caffeine usually make the biggest difference long-term.

Thank you for the response, can rule out a couple of things such as any medication and stimulants, caffeine from coffee makes me feel like I am about to have a panic attack, while caffeine from green tea/yerba mate I respond much better too, guessing from L-Theanine. Will try to get some tests done for my thyroid, I believe my B12 levels should be fine as I eat 3-4 eggs daily which should cover my daily B12 intake. Will increase my magneium intake and try out magnesium acetyltaurate, I mainly have been using mag glycinate and chloride. Will also work by slowing down my breathing and mainly breathing through the nose. Thanks again
