My father has aphasia. We’ve tried nasal Semax - which has helped his mood a little bit, but that’s it. Any other supplement/peptide suggestions? His doctors have been…. Unimpressive.

https://cosmicnootropic.com/ has all the best russian pharmaceutical peptides

If I was. dealing with aphasia, I'd probably inject 5ml of cerebrolysin every day for a month and see how things go. If that's not a possibility, there does seem to be some benefit to intranasal cerebrolysin (draw with needle, take needle out, squirt up nose)

Cerebrolysin has had some good results in clinical trials in improving various neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injuries.

One more thing, the prescription drug Donepazil has also shown promising results in patients with aphasia. It's an inhibitor of the acetycholinesterase enzyme and a Sigma1 agonist.

What would you recommend to improve thyroid function? I currently eat a Brazil nut each day and supplement iodine

Assuming you don't have any other nutrient deficiencies otherwise correct those too. You'll need to track your micronutrient intake with Cronometer to find out.

Then you want to get TSH/T4/T3 tested at the very least to see where you're at. If you're still low, you could have an autoimmune condition like hashimoto's, might warrant T4/T3 prescription from doc.

Otherwise, if you just need to burn more calories, 30 minutes of high intensity cardio at least 5x a week and walk more.

I do have hashimotos and currently take synthroid. Last time I took tests my tsh was a 2.8 and my free t4 was 2.28. My general practitioner wouldn't test t3. Might be time to find a new one. Thanks!

No T3 labs? that's messed up. Good luck on your search

What would you do for a meniscus with no cartilage? Ran BPC for 6 months with no success (it did help with post-workout elbow soreness). Looking into PRP. Anything else?

Expand full comment

I'd make sure I had good BPC and probably run 500mcg intra-articular daily. Kitchen sink approach would include TB500, GHK-Cu and HGH or peptides like Tesamorelin to get IGF-1 into 300s-400s. I also wouldn't get any less than 1.5g protein per lb of bodyweight daily, and would supplement with additional collagen. PRP sounds like it could help too.

This isn't my area of expertise though, just what I'd personally experiment with in that situation.

What’s your recommended protocol if someone wanted to use primarily testosterone as their anabolic agent?

I don't recommend doing anything your doctor doesn't approve. That said:

I'd get bloodwork to see where my levels are at. If you're low or average, a TRT+ prescription (somewhere around the neighborhood of 200mg) will yield a good 15+ of lean mass in the first 3 months if it's your first time being supraphysiological.

Otherwise, 12-16 week cycles of 400-600mg per week can yield some killer gains, while still being relatively easy to keep bloodwork in check. At 400-600mg you almost certainly need an AI to keep estradiol in a favorable range (between 25-40 pg/ml) This can be very hard to dial in since the amount of aromatization and response to AI varies greatly between individuals. If you don't know what you're doing, you can end up with serious mental and physical side effects.

Would the BPC 157 peptide be beneficial during a bulking phase? I always see BPC 157 talked about in the context of acute injuries like achilles (hello Aaron Rodgers!) but would it speed up muscle recovery from a lifting session?

Expand full comment

Technically would help, but it's not going to be a game changer. I'd consider it too risky to be running for months if the only purpose is muscle building, since the effects on muscle growth are minimal.

I am doing a NNN as a withdrawal from porn addiction. I am in week 2 and I have stopped getting erections. What would recommend, both in psychology and chemistry context, especially to reset the neural pathways?

You might not get those back for 4-6 months. Easily could be better in a month though, so don't be negative.

Increase neuroplasticity as much as possible. Check out my post on BTB's substack for more info https://bowtiedbull.io/p/biohacker-guest-post-on-neuroplasticitybrain

One could use PT141 & tadalafil as needed to perform for sex during the recovery process. IMO you need to have sex w/ real girls to truly recover. Btw must be willing to be done with that stuff forever. Good luck!

Definitely a notable increase in energy from both (via enhanced mitochondrial function)

I wouldn't say they are literally "anti-aging" but they can definitely make you feel younger.

What would be the best way to restore kidney health/function? Is megadosing astragalus root enough? I've heard certain amino acids are required for assisting kidney filtration?. I've just discovered that my kidneys are not functioning as optimally as they should be.

Expand full comment

Would need more context. Why has that been stated? Is it just creatinine or BUN elevation? High creatinine could be caused from creatine supplementation, hardcore training, dehydration, above average muscularity, or acute kidney stress. BUN is almost guaranteed to be "elevated" if you eat 1g protein per lb.

Restoring kidney function is difficult and not always possible. Astragalus megadosing has been known to increase kidney function, 5mg of tadalafil has also been able to boost function via increased bloodflow to your kidneys. Talk to your doctor.

A lot of times, the best thing you can do is simply avoid further damage to your kidneys. Two biggest causes of kidney damage? High blood pressure and high blood sugar. After that? Dehydration. You need to be on top of those three things. The supplements will help, but they'll never come close to taking care of your health.

Good luck!

So i really struggle with ED. I am 54 years old. I have tried most everything. I take Cialis daily. Just nothing seems to make things better. In your experience what might be the best protocol for me to try? Are there certain peptides you recommend? I really need help. Thanks

Expand full comment

PT-141 is much more potent at increasing erections than PDE5is like cialis and it also stimulates libido/arousal

This is not meant to be taken without doctor supervision or more than 8 times per month

The doses range from 1.5 to 2.5mg, but some poor responders need up to 4.5mg (very rare)

Other than that, not a peptide, but the Tri-Mix injection basically guarantees wood. You have to get that prescribed by a doctor.

At 54, there's a good chance it's a hormonal issue. Cialis and Viagra usually won't fix that. If they do, you'll just be getting hard and not really enjoying it anyways.

Testosterone

Free testosterone

Estradiol

Prolactin

DHEA Sulfate

Pregnenolone

If Estradiol or prolactin are high, you'll have sexual dysfunciton. If ANY of these are low, you also will.

Furthermore, low a-MSH is also a huge causal factor of sexual dysfunction, but you can't measure this with bloodwork. This is caused by a lack of sunlight exposure. Ever notice how when you spend all day in the sun, you have good wood and high libido the next day? This is why. This is also how PT-141 works. It mimicks a-MSH by selectively targeting the melanocortin receptors associated with sexual arousal.
