What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a derivative of the Body Protection Compound, a peptide that’s naturally produced in gastric juices. This chain of 15 amino acids, also detectable in small quantities in the gastric fluids of other mammals, is significant for maintaining the health of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract lining.
BPC-157 is composed of the amino acid sequence H-Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val-OH. Its role in gastric juices is pivotal, aiding in gastrointestinal tissue protection and ulcer healing. Its angiogenic property, stimulating new blood vessel formation, underscores its therapeutic potential.
Beyond this, its potential for aiding wound healing, protecting neurons, improving cognitive performance, tissue growth, gut repair, and even addiction treatment is of great interest to scientists. While initial studies have been largely animal-based, these findings are guiding ongoing research into BPC-157's possible human applications. With years of anecdotal reports from BPC-157 as well as success stories from HRT/Anti Aging Clinics, we’re starting to understand the true potential of this special peptide.
Benefits
Rodent models and limited human data suggest several potential BPC-157 benefits:
Angiogenesis: Promising rat studies have shown its capability to foster new blood vessel growth. This is thought to be the primary driver of its incredible healing ability.
Wound Healing: Its angiogenic traits seem to accelerate wound recovery. Reports of healing from injuries, such as muscle or tendon tears, in half the expected time or less are common. Injuries to skin from burns or cuts, injuries to bones, and injuries to other connective tissue are also expedited according to anecdotal reports. From my own experience, I have had success repairing my gut & dopaminergic system with oral BPC 157. Mild chronic injuries, aches, and back pains have also subsided with oral supplementation of 1 to 1.3mg per day. For more serious injuries, ie my torn rotator cuff, I have deployed injectable BPC-157 at 500mcg per day.
Pain Relief: Human data hints at its analgesic properties. Whether this is from anti-inflammatory mechanisms or other is not currently understood.
Neuroprotection: Animal studies indicate its ability to guard against neurological damage. This is thought to be through a unique neurotrophic effect (ability to repair, maintain, and grow neurons), angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory effects, and modulation of gene expression.
Dopaminergic Repair / Anti Addition: BPC-157 appears to reset “hedonic ton”, or the ability to feel reward, through changes in transcription factors ΔFosB and CREB. ΔFosB is a protein that modulates the expression of genes associated with reward/motivation. As it accumulates in the brain from stimulation, the brain becomes more susceptible to addictive behaviors. CREB is a complex signaling protein that also plays a role in reward, addiction, mood, learning, and memory.
Learning & Memory Improvement: Its neuroprotective effects could enhance learning & memory retention. Neurotransmitter modulation, anti-inflammatory effects, neurotrophic effects, gene expression modulation, and anti-oxidant mechanisms are potentially other factors involved.
Mood Regulation: BPC-157 might also aid in mood stabilization, potentially due to ΔFosB and CREB modulation, neuroprotection, and anti-inflammatory means.
BPC-157 Side Effects:
The side effects of BPC-157 in humans are largely undocumented, with most information coming from animal studies and anecdotal human reports. Injection-related reactions like redness and itching are common. Digestive issues, dizziness, and headaches have also been informally reported. Its pro-angiogenic nature raises theoretical concerns about cancer growth facilitation, though concrete evidence is lacking. The idea is that if you currently have a tumor in your body, BPC-157 could accelerate the growth of the tumor by increasing the blood supply to it.
Dosage and Safety Considerations:
BPC-157 hasn't undergone safety evaluations by the FDA or similar international bodies. However, existing research, including clinical trials, has generally found it safe for treating inflammatory bowel disease and in wound healing, with no reported toxicity.
Dosing guidelines are primarily extrapolated from animal studies and human anecdotes.
Injectable Dose: The consensus daily dose is around 250-500 mcg, typically administered subcutaneously, with a suggested 2-4 mcg per kg body weight guideline. Researchers should exercise caution in its administration, considering its lack of comprehensive human safety data.
Oral Dose: Again, not going off clinical trial data here, but the consensus among researchers & compounding pharmacists seems to be roughly 500-650 mcg twice per day to achieve the full gut healing, brain healing, anti-inflammatory & mild healing effect.

Interested in researching BPC-157? Here are the sources I trust the most:
For BPC-157 Capsules (most common), I recommend YourProtocol. This is the highest quality BPC-157 Acetate I have come across. Every batch is 3rd party tested to ensure purity and proper dosages. You can find the results on their website. You can use the coupon code “BOWTIED” for 10% off.
Limitless Life Nootropics - Injectable BPC-157
Limitless Life Nootropics is my favorite source for injectable BPC-157. Like YourProtocol, they are 3rd party testing each batch. LLN does their lyophilization in-house and uses Hyaluronic Acid filler, unlike other leading peptide companies. LLN puts out consistently high-quality peptides & nootropics and I’m happy to vouch for them. You can use coupon code “BOWTIED” for 15% off.
Do you cycle this? How long would you take it to reset “hedonic ton”?
Is there a new discount code? Looks like BIOHACKER has expired.
